Columbina

Claudia

Flirty & clever, Columbina's descendants may include the sassy French Maid (Babette in Beauty in the Beast) or a giggly cheerleader.  She is light & effervescent and pretends not to know that she's using a sexuality to get things.  Click here for more information.

Pedrolino

Ashley C

Pedrolino is a small comic servant.  He is the most childish zanni, almost infantile.  He speaks so little most of the others believe him to be mute.  Often played without a mask but will wear one in The Bungler.  A clear decendant of Pedrolino is Dopey from Disney's Snow White.

The Players are a Comedia Dell'Arte acting company who are trying to set up their stage/playing area to put on a play.  At the top of the play and between each act, these characters attempt to set up their performance in various parts of the stage only to have Leile bungle up their plans.  I came up with this concept to help with the flow of the play which, as written, comes to a complete hault between each of act as well as to pay homage to the Comedia Dell'Arte world that this play was born.  The three actors playing these roles will also double as other roles in the play.

Scapino

Morgan

The leader of the group of players, Scapino should not be confused with the title character in Moliere's play Scapino which bears a closer resemblance to Brighella (who our Mascarille is based on).  He thinks of himself as the logical commander but rarely gives logical directives to his fellow players... he then blames them when things don't work out.
